Unadulterated and Unapologetic

They tell me homosexuality is a sin,
And what am I supposed to say,
When her pacific eyes attract to me,
Like night attracts to day

They tell me not to give in,
But how could I resist,
When golden brown sugar,
Gracefully falls from her lips

They tell me god wouldn’t approve,
But why would he detest,
The way she floats in the rain,
Or the gentle flutter of her dress

They say that I’m evil,
But what is so unnerving,
About the way, I crave her smile,
Or how my heart is softly yearning

I can never understand,
The hate they hold in their heart,
For our love is richly sweet,
While theirs is bitterly tart
