My name is Charity Stewart, and I am known as the poetic voice of the streets. I'm an author, hostess, and poet. I grew up in the Chicagoland area, a rough city full of violence, crimes, pain, racism, low education, and fewer resources. I have been writing poetry since the first grade. I won my first poetry contest back in 1996. My dad always told me that I was a poet, and I didn’t know it.
