The Vow

You wrote me a letter with our picture inside,
Said that you have seven vows for me,
I wonder what those might be,
‘Cause I ain’t yet your bride.

You said you would cherish our bond,
For as long as you live,
I would say cherish my love,
‘Cause words ain't enough.

You said together we would build our lives,
A place we could call home,
I would say be with me now,
We will be together even after gloam.

You promised to accept my flaws,
And my companionship is what you seek,
I would say I would be your strength,
For the times when you would be weak.

You told you would protect me from bleakness,
And hold me when I fall,
I would say hold me now,
And I would give you my all.

You claimed you would keep me happy and safe,
Be the curve on my face and my shelter in need,
I would say be my muse,
And in your name poetries, I would bleed.

You wished we would be friends and lovers,
Who would fight for silly things and make love together,
I would say be my forever,
For our love will never wither.

You said I am only yours,
Until the star fall from the sky,
I would say be mine always,
And never say goodbye.
