I was born with a pen in one hand and ideas in the other. I am a 42 year old autistic savant. I started writing when I was seven, my mother would write everything down for me when I asked her to before I was capable of writing. My first poem came to me while in the car driving home from school with my mom and I told her I thought about something. I told her: Mother nature sighs as she opens her eyes to reveal the moon, and the stars began to swoon. I was seven years old and I didn't speak much so I surprised my mom. I am a selective mute. Writing has given me a voice in my silence. I was thirteen when I started speaking more through speech therapy. I wrote a book in fifth grade and it got published to the local library and I won rewards with my school district for my writing skills several times as well as art. My art skills are just as impressive too and my math. I am handicapped living with my cat Ginger Beans with in home assistance. The Internet is my social security and communication tool. I run two online businesses and a blog. I am on other writing communities online. I think I might have joined all of them even from UK and European websites as well as India websites for writing. I have been online full-time since 2001 but my first time posting online was in 1995 through AOL groups on the school computers in junior high. You've got mail! and poetry. LoL
