Escaping Reality

Detach me from the reality,
Let me draw patterns on the sky.
As a way to cope, let me be delusional,
Unaware of truth, cheerful and high.

Let me forget all the pain,
I'll just wander on the untaken roads.
Numb all the sensations I'm feeling,
I'll do anything to forget these episodes.

Let me be reckless for once,
I'll enjoy my life to its fullest.
Without any fear of loosing anything,
I'll drop the act of being modest.

I won't stop walking on the thin ice,
Won't fear if it cracks, I'll continue to walk.
Let me drown in my deepest thoughts,
No secrets anymore come here, I'll talk.

Detach me from the reality,
It's too bitter for me to tolerate.
As a way to cope, let me be delusional,
I'll distract myself from the actuality I hate.
