When comes the day

What will you do
When your heart slows and your flesh withers
The mind weakened falters and goes astray
They will whisper behind their hands tsk tsk what a shame
Poor souls what a pity they can't remember their names

But the creations of stories and rhyme you compose will never be forgotten
Your talent of concocting with letters bright birds and hidden forests lush green
The Sea Gods children silver tailed mermaids that frolic lazily in aqua seas
The colors of a cotton candy sky and sound of cold winds through shivering trees

The ills of suffering lost loves
The goodness of the man
And evils suffocating woven shroud
A child softly cooing to its mother
The needs of the common people growing ever so loud

So, when comes the day
Do not be distressed if your mind begins to wander
Courageous the poet cast off death boldly having no fear
You are unique amongst all, hold fast and take heart
For in the world of the artist's shall you ever be endeared
