They all fell down

Round the sparsely green tree, the children play
During the rising heat of the desert day
Olives trees grew hardily on rocky ground
Tired at last their imaginations satisfied
They all fell down

The blue skies rose
Trumpeting the golden day
Once more around the green trees
The children play
The trebles of the ground shaking
Would see them flee in fright
Innocent minds could not perceive what was to be

Death descended in a red rain of thunder
So commenced the battle for the jewel in the crown
Round the green tree, no longer
Did the silent children play
And they all fell down.
