Given the freedom to bathe on the shore
we do not have to return to the estate anymore

To turn a new page and begin a life of our own
we can build a palace with one of us on the throne

To hoist the flag of honour and dignity and give it a name
The stigma of the past is buried by those who walk with shame

We shall discard the yoke of sacrifice for the bread we earn
and find pathways to knowledge for our children to learn

The law of the land will transform our minds creating leaders newly sworn
for tomorrow the vision of this nation will shape the future newly born

To burn the curtain of inequality there will be no barrier to this dream
the wealth of this land will spread equally across the stream

there will be no reason to return to the land of our ancestors again
we will lay the foundation for many generations to come and gain.
