Winter, Oh Winter!

Gathering the little twigs and sticks
For the fire place
She was all prepared
To face the long awaited Winter
Coming her way.

Sweaters and jackets
And mufflers and socks,
You name it
She'd got them all.

Hot baked cookies,
Freshly heated milk
And some fuzzy kind of chocolate
That was pink,
All awaited her at the back of the sink.

With only ten minutes to spare
She locked all the windows
Doors and openings that let in air.

Tick- tock tick-tock went the clock,
It was almost there
And boom!
Winter ran through the door
And hugged her best friend.

Oh, still confused?
