Remembrance Sunday arrives again
As the town mourns the loss
Of the gentlemen
Whom served with their life.
The sound of the last post
Calls out through the streets
To the wrongs of war
As red poppies cover our hearts and people
Though I can’t help
I think of the horror
The man whom will never see his family
The man who has no name with many
The sounds
A sense of pride hits me though
As the last post ends
And we start anew
Never forgetting the men
Who put their life for us.
