Speak, Cadet (And Leave The Dealer Alone)

She stole her plastic rose and key,
locked down the open door
I took the cure and ricocheted
into mellow solitude

Soldiers lead lights far and south
She gripped the glass and cued
a hollow neck and mouth

Her face was dying like the day,
I faced all of my dreams
The looking glass caught the cadet
in a pitch black safety

Hoped your body would've
never been contented
Substance took out crawling
from your empty noise routine

The lights burnt out from your bravery and your boredom
Wont make you promise not to shoot

She took her gilded white and shot
all through oblivion
I went down to meet the lady
who made it all okay
Chips cashed in, coming early

Come day she's burning you away
You can pick whatever flowers you want now
Quiet whenever you want
