There's no such thing
as a wasteland
there will always be
some small patch
that's worthy
to be claimed
for ready hands
to sow, to grow
to harvest
to tame
later to name
this is not
wasted land-

and here
on this edge
I'm proud
to proclaim:
this I've created
as sacred land
where love
and purpose
I've lent.
