Australian Summer Sky © Author Olga Timoff
Landed in Sydney, Aussie’s summer sky is blue
Harbour is shining, my heart is shining too
Walking by the Opera House crowd
Boardwalk buzzing, young and loud
Tourists taking photos thousand times
At night, water turns to Australian wine
People like to live in these golden nights
Valentine’s roses don’t need snow,
They bloom where the warm winds blow
Street dude strumming guitar by the bay
Ferry wobble-dance splashing the spray
Harbour Bridge like, “Welcome home!”
Sunset glitter on the ocean foam
Down in Aussie land we keep it chill though
No tip for the service, mate, that is roll
At Sidney’s zoo you can laughing at all day
Koalas are dreaming all day in the trees
White Ibis birds with long black beaks
Walking and looking for snakes near the bar
From Wharf Five the ferry glides away
Toward the bright lights of Luna Park in Sydney
There are rides, and music and games to play
Aussie summer is sun then rain
Wind steals my tourist hat away
Climb near the bridge for the perfect shot
Hair goes crazy, the wind’s is trick for pic
Photo looks like I fought a storm
But the Harbour behind me looks warm
I’m enjoy for my traveling dream!
Sailed to the port where Airlie Beach shines
But beauty here is wild and real too
Crocodiles glide where rivers sleep
Venomous snakes in shadows creep
Jellyfish drift in silent grace
A tiny sting in a fragile place
Enjoy the peace but stay safe on every beach
Valentine’s Day kisses fly near and far
Love goes wild under Aussie star
Kangaroos jump high, my heart is doing too
Every hop says “I love you!”
This country talks in an easy tone
A larrikin’s laugh rings loud and free Speak slang and joke all day
“No worries, mate!” is the Aussie way
