Driftwood
LIKE THIS POEM
I am driftwood,
shaped by waves
I did not choose,
softened by salt,
cracked by time.
I float not to escape,
but because I no longer sink.
There is no anchor,
no destination,
only the quiet rhythm
of being carried
somewhere
I do not need to name.
