Psalm of Praise

Psalm of Praise

Bless the Lord beneath the midday sun–
as all the world illuminates with bounty and delight.
Bless the Lord beneath the new moon void–
for under weight of shadow, His presence will never fail.
Bless the Lord on the mountain peak–
praise His power, wisdom, and mighty deeds!
Bless the Lord in the canyon cracked–
for even desolation cannot help but give birth.
Bless the Lord in the valleys and the pasture land–
the grass fresh and the water pure,
for He fills my cup with love unending.
Bless the Lord on the black sand beaches and volcanic slopes–
the charred remains of the garden green,
for He will bring the harvest anew.
Bless the Lord in the face of hate–
the dealers of suffering,
the peddlers of power,
for He will bring down the proud and lift up the humble.
Bless the Lord in the face of love–
the warmth of an embrace,
the safety of a kiss,
the family of witnesses,
the friend who stays when all others leave,
for they shall break bread at the table of the Most High.
Bless the Lord in the confession of sin,
for His mercy runs out to kiss and welcome.
Bless the Lord on the road to recovery,
for He chooses to dine with the brokenhearted.
Bless the Lord in the unguarded tear,
for He treasures all that is freely given
Bless the Lord in every season, in every place, in every circumstance,
for the stones testify of that which the wisest man could not fathom,
for the seas and the stars sing of that which no evil can bear to look upon.
for in His name, set apart and set above, lies Love that sustains the ages!
Blessed be the name of Yahweh,
for He is good.
His love never ends.
His faithfulness extends from generation to generation.
