Untold numbers of trusting innocents died that 9/11 day;
untold others scarred for life by the ghastly news display.
We mourn useless loss of life by a nation that strives to be
all things to all people, sharing its endowed liberty.

The hostile youth who committed this criminal atrocity
in religion's name against a perceived abject society
were victims, too, of leaders
warping young minds of compatriots
with promises of maiden'd paradise to "useful idiots."

Eternal shame,
diabolic elders who lie and kill your progeny,
dishonoring your own with shameful, despicable perfidy.
Cain-colored beards and twisted,
distorted minds filled with hate,
would you dispatch your deluded youth
if forced to join their fate?
