Nothing shall be impossible
‘though breakers crash ahead;
if trust in Him stay unshakable,
we have little here to dread.
My faith shall be the power source
while in Church Visible I abide;
it will preserve redeeming force
‘mid Perfect Babel and venal pride.
Lost love that pains, illness that drains,
as I to Church Triumphant move,
shall not be chains unless faith wanes,
causing Cause Causeless to disapprove.
When word to cross over is spoken,
hear, O Lord, this prayer from me:
when the golden bowl is broken
I wish but to abide with Thee.
