Trees stand tall, dark and free
A float rock blessed, cursed, then heed
You cannot stand against the tide
Only endure, bow down and hide
Of many sockets, those glittering holes
That rip and siphon off the soul
Such things are endless, sentinels all
That creep and break what will yet fall

The crunch of needles, your shallow breaths
Which rattle tales of hollow death
A looming giant, fresh scent of pine
It wished to spread and take what's mine
Wretched, twisted, foul, eld
Small pieces taken, mixed and meld
Patchwork, empty, mask of aer
Beneath facades lies noth's last heirs

Laugh, rejoice! You have been chosen
To See the things that aren't and broken!
O, void! A vessel which takes and gives
Splintered bones drag forth and live
Flesh, heat, spirit, whole
Bind, suppress, imprison, hold

Those that were, and are, and old
