The Summit

I stood on the summit
And let my heart plummet

The wilderness speckled the bottom
And the violet flowers finally did blossom

The blue amplified
When the black had just died

The moon and the stars
Were oblivious that they were ours

Ours to admiringly behold
Ours to tell our tales untold

The night was conquered
By the light that aimlessly wandered

The day reigned in grandeur
Only to once again be left poor
