Rain

Sweetness fills the air
Falling clouds creep towards us
We become more aware
the light fades around us
Boom
Light tries to break free
It’s calling to us
Only if I could foresee

its quieting down
Falling clouds now above
Can I breath yet?
Hey tribe or part thereof?

Everyone is chatting
“It’s raining! It’s raining!”
The rain comes one by one
Saturating
They dance, delighting
The rain is here, can’t you feel it?

I can smell the rain
I can the hear rain
I can’t feel the rain
I can’t see the rain

they promise it’s there
I need to quench my thirst
But where?
Im surrounded by water that’s already here
A ocean of others
Dreams, wishes, desires.
Drowning mothers
struggling to keep a float
Only if there was more salt

The rain is what I long for
Forever recycling though the earth
Learning but always returning
Bringing new birth
Everyone has their own flurry
Survival is critical. That’s why.
Why the need to worry?

The storm brings movement
Some chase it others wait
It’s a language some are fluent
not me
I long for the rain
Keeping the calm til the light shines though
It helps the pain
Flurries come together
Providing comfort to all under
I’m standing at the edge
What’s it like? I wonder
I can’t feel the rain.
