A Pleasantry On My Thoughts

My thoughts go bouncing everywhere.
Like gossamers, they bounce
from wall to wall,
and hither to yon. They are like planets that bounce
from star to star;
They are like stars that bounce
from galaxy to galaxy;
They are like galaxies that bounce
from universe to universe.
If (by landing in a black hole)
one of these worlds should stop bouncing,
the rest would go right on bouncing
into countless orbs in boundless space. But---- all my thoughts would stop bouncing
if only one thought should land
in a black hole.
My entire stream of thoughts, thus broken,
would bounce no more,
and become a useless stream in limbo.
