Broken

I crumble bits of bread into miniscule fragments;
Chalk color on crimson cloth.
Your words pulverize my heart and soul;
Scarlet drops seeping into white shag
I drain away like the color from my face.
Irreparable, everything stains or is trampled underfoot.
If I were shattered glass, I could fight back,
With even my smallest sliver
As you grind me into your calloused heel.
