Streets, Alleys & Avenues

The city has many avenues,
alleys, and streets.
Which one we choose,
Depends upon what we seek.

The city wears many faces:
One for day, one for night,
Chased by the morning sun,
Swallowed by evening's,
Fading light.

These avenues, alleys, and streets,
Each a mystery
A story untold.

The veins and arteries
Where the city's blood flows,

Sustaining its heartbeat.

Keeping alive the lovers
Of light and shadows,

And those in between,
Unable to decide
Which side of the street
To place their feet.

Yes,
These streets, alleys,
And avenues—

Are waiting to be traveled
By me and you,

Which one—
Will you choose?
