I am Chained

Inside of this room, I am chained,
confined in these walls, my mind is constrained.
Echoes of seclusion, a taunting refrain,
slowly, steadily, slipping, I’ll wane.

Inside of this room, I am chained,
invisible bars, my youth detained.
Shadows flicker, a mockery of pain,
in this dark stillness, I remain.

Inside of this room, I am chained,
time stretches on, no freedom regained.
Whispers of turmoil, an unnerving strain,
my sanity frays, mototony by mundane.

Inside of this room, I am chained,
counting heartbeats, cycles ingrained.
Walls close in, an overpowering domain,
ensnared in steel vines, I am restrained.

Inside of this room, I am chained,
a silent appeal, my soul is contained.
Yearning for freedom, an escape unordained,
away from this miserable, relentless terrain.

Inside of this room, I am chained,
a struggle persists, a battle maintained.
Breaking free from this mortal plane,
embracing insanity, despite the strain.
