One day far from now those who come far after us will look back and simply ask why?

Why we let the world simmer and die, they will ask us is why we took advantage of our gardens and meadows.

Why we slaughtered animals with mercy thins as thread why we’d murdered the plants and wildlife surrounding us?

They will ask why we let our world simmer and die why we forgot about everything except ourselves,

And we will have no answers for underneath the soot and ash, the tainted waters and winds
Are where the bodies that passed long ago now lie.
We will never be able to answer their questions but if we try to turn the tides and honor our forests and meadows our oceans and lakes.

Attempt to cool down our world and maybe a hundred years from now instead of fire and flood
Our bodies will be buried in the meadow’s,

instead of questions of why? And what was it like? Grateful praise and pride saying thank you instead of asking why.
