The Ocean That Is You

The heart of coldest glacier melts
into streams of vivid awareness,
cascading hundreds then thousands
but destined to meet the ocean
that is you.

Gentle push of quiet inspiration,
brutal pull of cacophonous experience.
Times peace pervades for moments—
all reminiscent of dejavu.

Life; might as well err to deadends,
but it eventually flows:
"no end, nor a beginning, but just the flow..."
above bright surface, and dark below.
Paths carved by time unto space—
what so spontaneously breathes.

Wounds cracks the earth as it bleeds;
blood mixes, then dilutes.
But the world moves on,
knowing life blooms even after death.

Still tanginess sings the melody of grief
until the symphony of a single memory coalesces
of the ocean that is you.
