I woke up in the confined space,
Old and rusty, full of snakes.
Weather so gloomy it looks like it'll shower,
Kept as captive in a abundant traditional townhouse tower.
Explored a little, it was not bright,
My voice echoing, no people in sight.
The snakes slithering here and there,
The signs of exit was seen nowhere.
After a while I reached the terrace,
So terrifying, the place was a menace.
Suddenly, my friend appered too,
Standing there unsure of what to do.
The ground so grand it could conduct a war,
Hard to cross with the exit so far.
At the centre it had a giant old tree,
Unrealistically big with roots hanging free.
The boundary walls were high,
With the captors keeping an eye.
I held the root, determined,
I no longer will be confined.
I grasped the roots,
a desperate swinging plight,
Each upward surge,
a battle in the fading light.
Landed on the wall, leaving the root's hold,
Captors watching the scene unfold.
I called my friend to escape with me,
"Let's leave this place and break free."
He just stood there on the balcony,
"You escape, don't think about me."
I looked at him with concerned eyes,
Staying there, this decision is not wise.
But from those captives, alone I can't fight;
I need more people to make it right.
I started searching people, strong and kind,
Had those captives, chasing behind.
After a struggle I found the help,
From captors, successfully hiding myself.
We went there to save my friend,
Who was in the predicament.
The sight we saw left us speechless,
That abundant traditional townhouse tower was no longer looking like a menace.
The crusty-rusty walls; the tree with roots hanging free,
Was now transformerd into a luxury.
From inside, It was still a place full of despair
Still the snakes slithering here and there.
That place was still threatening and mean,
With my friend nowhere to be seen.
I looked for my friend everywhere,
Did he just disappear?
I called again and again,
With my efforts going in vein.
Still confused, when he got a chance why didn't he escaped with me,
From this place of mistery, didn't he wanted to be set free?
I woke up with the mystery unsolved,
Thinking about the concept my dream involved.
That's one of the most peculiar one I've ever seen,
Was it just a meaningless dream?
